Biking on Mackinac Island

The most popular way to get around on Mackinac Island is by bike. You can bring your own or you can rent one from one of the many bike rental places available on the Island. All Ferry services allow you to bring your bike on board for a fee. Each Ferry services bike loading fee varies. The rental bikes on the Island are comfortable with wide seats and baskets for your convenience or you can also rent mountain bikes, strollers, etc. Most bike rental vendors charge by the hour. The trail around Mackinac Island is wonderful with it's breathtaking scenery and points of interest along the way. The trail around the Island is about 8.2 miles and takes anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how often you choose to stop to view points of interest or to rest.
