As soon as you step off the ferry and onto the dock, the first scent your nose will be greeted with is the smell of Mackinac Island Fudge! It's aroma is ever present. There are six different fudge vendors and there are more than one of each scattered throughout the Island. This creamy, rich, delicious treat is one of the attractions to Mackinac Island and a must have while on your visit. With so many flavors to choose from, one could spend a nice amount of time trying to decide which flavor their taste buds will love best. There are also other goodies sold in some of the fudge shops such as caramel corn, ice cream, toffee and nut brittle!
